Sock Monkey Cookies for Connelly

A very good friend of my sister lives in Charlotte and she asked me if I could make cookies for her daughters first birthday.  She sent me a picture of the t-shirt she bought and was basing the theme of her party on that.  So here’s what I came up.  They are simple sugar cookies with royal icing.  The monkeys are sanded with white sanding sugar to give them the fuzzy look.
