1st Communion/Happy Birthday - Natalie!
It's been a busy week. Last week the kaleidescope, this weekend bugs bugs bugs! I made this quilt top from a duvet cover my mother gave my daughter but we never used. It was for a kids bed and she went from crib to twin. So I fussy cut the bugs out and squared them with really bright colours. I then sashed them with cream. So the top was done but had no recipient. Then I got an email from a dear friend who's mother has cancer and in hospital but also has life to contend with. Including her daughter, Natalie's first communion and upcoming birthday. So voila, instant recipient. I found a cute pink flannel for the back and added another bug. I mailed it today so she should get it tomorrow. I loved this quilt and I hate pink, so that's saying lots.
