So I haven’t been blogging much and there is a very good reason. Do you remember my post about The Other Royal Couple, well I actually found out at the last minute that I got my travel paperwork and I could go to the wedding after all. So Saturday morning I hopped on a flight and surprised my friends by crashing their wedding!
Sapna and I the morning of the wedding getting ready!
Now it’s 6 days later and I’m back to the grind and this morning I decided I would tell you about Chocolate Lush! This recipe was given to me by a co-worker many moons ago and has become the staple for ooey gooey goodness!!!
This morning I asked Rowan what she wanted and she said chocolate cupcakes. But since I’ve made so many lately I decided to make Chocolate Lush. It can be served warm or cold but either way it is DELISH!!!!
Recipe:
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 6 tbls cocoa
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 tbls melted butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 3/4 cup hot water
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, 2 tbsp cocoa, milk, butter and vanilla. Spread in greased pan and sprinkle with brown sugar combines with remaining cocoa. Pour hot water over this. DO NOT STIR!!!
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes and enjoy!!!
This is probably one of the most delectable warm chocolate cakes/pudding I’ve ever had and being a self professed chocoholic, that’s saying a lot!!! Sprinkle with some powder sugar for a little extra pizzazz!
Thanks for looking…and really you should try this, because your plate will look like this!
First of all, so delighted that you were able to crash your girlfriend's wedding! She must have been so excited to see you. Seeing as you flew, I guess your cake didn't get to go but the important thing was that you did. YEAH!
ReplyDeleteSecondly, that chocolate lush does look luscious! Thanks for sharing the recipe Karen.
I commented on this the other day and it's in my reader again twice!!?? Google is having problems. In any case, I did say that it was wonderful to have been able to get to your best friend's wedding after all. She must have been delighted. I also stated that since you flew, your beautiful cake probably had to stay behind but important thing was that you were there.
