Thanks for visiting last week and joining my first linky party. I may have had only 4 links but it was a lot of fun to host. I may try again once I get back into the swing of things after a week away. The house won’t clean itself. LOL!!!
Today’s treat was born of a couple things. My daughters love of marshmallows and a new cake cookbook. These are quite tasty and very moist but don’t taste a lot like a real S’more. I think next time I’ll play with the recipe to get a truer graham cracker flavour as for these, there won’t be a problem with leftovers! yum yum :)
Recipe:
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 cup milk
- 16 oz chocolate pieces
- 15 large marshmallows
Directions:
- Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla.
- Combine flour, crumbs, baking powder and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to cream, alternating with milk until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate.
- Pour into pan, bake at 325 for 20 mins.
- Place marshmallows on cake (keep away from edges by an inch) and return to oven for another 15 mins.
- Let cool. These can be served warm or completely cool.
- Enjoy!!!
I also made another trip to Home Goods (the newest one in Raleigh) and made another great find with this two tiered dessert platter. Love it!!!
I really did enjoy this treat and so did the girls. Even though they didn’t taste like a s’more right out of the fire pit, they were really yummy! On the upside, I didn’t smell like smoke for the next 3 days :)
Thanks for looking!

Yum! Who cares if they don't taste like a s'more right out of the fire pit. They have chocolate and they have marshmallow and that's good enough for anyone in my book!
ReplyDeleteGreat find with that dessert plate by the way ;)
