When Abby came flying into the house last week and asked/screamed if I would make cookies for her end of year celebration at school, my answer was of course yes! I found these cute cutters of grad caps and diplomas and now I had somewhere to use them. I emailed her teacher and asked for a class list, because what’s a diploma without a name on them!
Then attached to her bag was a note from another teacher telling the parents that along with the kindergarten celebration they were also throwing Ms. Bardin (Abby’s teacher) a wedding shower. Well since I was already making grad cookies, what’s a few more cookies. And this time, wedding themed.
I don’t have any wedding cutters, so I took an old broken gingerbread man cutter and re-bent it to look more like a dress (with arms). So I cut off the arms and cut out a neckline and it became a dress. A few accents here and a few there et voila, a wedding dress! For the cake, I just drew a three tiered cake onto a paper plate and used that as a template. The flower arrangements were the shooting star cutter.
I also made a big heart cookie and added the initials for the bride and groom.
And for the parents, I made some fun summer cookies! I should have made more cocktails!!! You know… to make it through the summer :) LOL
So congrats Abby for graduating from Kindergarten. I’m soooooo proud of you!
And a big congrats to Anne and her future hubby, Nathan, on your up-coming wedding. All the best!
Thanks for looking!
