I needed a treat day treat and didn’t really want to buy any new ingredients, so when I was cleaning out the cupboards I found a package of chocolate pudding. I had planned to just make the pudding but on the box was a recipe for chocolate pie. I didn’t have graham crackers crumbs to make a pie shell but happen to have mini frozen pie shells in the freezer.
So easy and so tasty. For a little fun I added chocolate chips to the bottom of the shell, added the pudding and let set for at least an hour. Then I added some melted chocolate drizzle to the top. YUMM-O!
Rowan gives it a thumbs up!
I’m a sucker for chocolate pudding and this was probably one of the easiest treat day treats yet!
Thanks for looking!

You should try it with the oreo pie crust you can buy at the grocery store. Add cool whip to the top, add chocolate chips then drizzle with chocolate syrup or melted chocolate. Also, a nice touch would be to add some sweet strawberries on the side. I have been making this for 8 years now for holiday parties and dessert at home. The pie is usually gone in a matter of ten minutes. I recommend that if you are making this for a holiday party, I would make at least 3 pies.
ReplyDeleteYum! Quick and easy.
ReplyDeleteYour recipe is one of our mystery featured recipes. It looks oh so good.

ReplyDeleteOh Karen, those pictures of Rowan are adorable! What a fantastic and easy recipe - chocolatey delicious! I don't know what it is about individual serving size pies, they just make any treat so much more special. It's such fun having a 'whole' pie to yourself :) Thank you for sharing this delicious post with the Gallery of Favorites.
ReplyDeleteThese look so good, but after watching the movie "The Help", I don't think that I can eat a chocolate pie ever again LOL.
ReplyDeleteThat does look easy and soooo good! Had to laugh at "The Help" comment... too funny!
