Movember/November

If October is all about women’s health, specifically Breast Cancer Awareness, then lets talk November.  Or more importantly Movember.  Never heard of it, well then let me enlighten you.

Right from their website (www.movember.com):

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in the US and around the world. With their Mo’s, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

RIGHT ON YOU SAY… ME TOO! 

I’m so on board with this, right up until Rob wanted to do it. However after the last few years, I’m willing to live with facial hair on Rob for a month.  I support it totally, I may hate it but anything that raises awareness for cancer research, I’m on board!

So I’m celebrating Movember, not with growing a moustache myself, or on Rob for that matter (next year he tells me) but by making moustache cookies.

I first saw super cute moustache cookies on Sugarbelle’s blog, so fun! but I wanted to make these more like a costume.  So I used my sunglasses and bat cutters and turned them upside down then on to the sticks they went! They aren’t perfect, but will do in a pinch :)

The undecorated cookies are good but I decided to add some fun additions.  Instead of using royal icing, I decided to use up my black candy melts. Oh the ideas you could do with RI!

Look! Everyone is getting in to it! (Dartagnan really really wanted to eat it. LOL)
