Today is a special day, well tomorrow is but since today was Treat Day I thought I’d celebrate her achievement of graduating from first grade to second.
Abby had a good year. There were some tough days for sure but for the most part she did amazing. She loved school too, except for the homework. I’m a pretty proud mum too, she excelled in both math and reading (at a grade 3 level!)
Her besty friend, Alana, also moved to second grade. So I decided to make them a little something to celebrate and yes it included some cookies. First you need diplomas!
and then some swag: a little notebook, a lip balm and a pen. Can’t go wrong with Hello Kitty.
And since tomorrow is the last day, it’s also the day to thank the teachers for putting up with my children.
Some of you might remember this picture that Abby drew and many told me it looked like a cookie. So I thought it would be a great gift for her teacher and teacher’s aid.
I also added a little message too!
Congratulations Abby!
Mommy, Daddy and Rowan are so proud of you!
Thanks for looking!
Congrats, Abby! Have an amazing summer vacation. Well mom, the painted cookies are just awesome....
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a wonderful year Abby, you are going to love Grade Two but have a wonderful summer first. Karen, your cookies and little swag gifts are adorable and the special cookies for Abby's teacher and teacher's aid is the sweetest idea.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Abby! And to you, for making it through the first grade. Who knew it could be so hard the second time around, lol. :)
