Last week when I was coming out of Whole Foods with the cherries for Rob’s father’s day Black Forest Cake, a sweet lady was selling chocolate dipped pretzels to raise money for a local women’s shelter. She asked me to try the “thin mint” version and OMG it was the best tasting thing I’ve ever had. So as I donated a couple bucks and walked away without a box of them, I said to myself. “I need to make me some of those!”
So here goes! Easy peasy. I tried a couple different varieties. This is what you need:
- pretzels (your favourite)
- 1-4 oz bar dark chocolate
- 1-4 oz bar white chocolate
- shortening
- caramels
- coconut
- peppermint flavouring
- anything else you’d like!
- Melt one chocolate bar with 1tsp shortening. When smooth add flavouring.
- Add sprinkles or what ever suits your fancy!
- Enjoy…bet you can’t eat just one :)
