I’ve always loved the Henna style of cookie decorating. Especially these from Cupookie, click here
So while decorating back to school cookies I had a few extra’s and decided to give it a whirl and this is what I came up with.
They aren’t perfect but with practice I’m sure I’ll get better. I just played with designs. Now if I had a KopyKake I’m sure I could make really nice cookies (hint hint Rob :))
I had a few people ask me about getting black black, so here it is!
Tip: Getting black, black!
- Too get the black really black make it a day or two ahead of when you need it. I got mine to a dark charcoal colour and then when I went to use it, it was jet black.
Thanks for looking!

ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! You definitely have a gift. And, I really appreciate your tip on getting icing black. I never would have thought of that. Thanks for sharing on Sweet Indulgences Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful cookies, and what a great tip about black icing. I used to buy my colours ready made, but I now have a set of tints I can add to my own icing recipes so this tip will come in very handy! Thank you for sharing another wonderful post with the Gallery of Favorites.
