Chocolate Sorbet!

IMGP7991

I finally got around to using my new Cuisinart ice-cream maker.  A fat free, gluten free, sadly not calorie free, but tasty non-the-less, dark chocolate sorbet!

Recipe: Taken from Bake At 350 and loved by all my minions!

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 cup dark chocolate cocoa powder

Directions:

  1. Mix sugar and water together and heat on medium-high heat.
  2. Once dissolved, add cocoa powder and bring to bowl.
  3. Simmer for 3 minutes whisking constantly.
  4. Stick into fridge for 2 plus hours
  5. Follow instruction on your ice cream maker, it took 15 minutes for mine.

  6. Stick sorbet back into freezer until ready to use, it firms up in 20 or so minutes.  Although the kids liked it right out of the ice-cream maker :)
  7. Enjoy!  really!

As you can see by this face, she really really enjoyed!
