I was pulling out all the recipes for the Christmas cookie plate and I found my homemade Egg Nog recipe. So as a treat for the Friday night after work drink, I made these!
Recipe: I got this recipe from the Globe and Mail Newspaper probably 10 years ago and have “lightened” it over the years!
- 4 eggs separated
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 cup rum
- 4 cups milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Combine egg yolks, condensed milk, rum, milk and vanilla.
- Whip egg whites until soft peaks.
- Fold egg whites into condensed milk.
- Garnish with a pinch of nutmeg.
- Enjoy!
So grab a glass and raise it up. I propose a toast…I wish you a very happy holidays with your family and friends!
Thanks for looking!

I'll drink to that and to this recipe! I used to make my own Bailey's at Christmas and though I'm not a big fan of Egg Nog, lots of people I know are. Great gift idea. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
ReplyDeleteCheers Karen ~ have a great weekend!
Yum, my kind of dessert! I love eggnog SO much. :)
ReplyDeleteyes, this sounds like a keeper~
ReplyDeleteWishing you and yours a very happy holiday season too! This recipe is a GREAT way to avoid all that corn syrup and other unwanted ingredients they have started adding to store-bought egg nog. Thanks so much for sharing your recipe at Joy of Desserts.
