Happy Mother’s Day!

So I totally stole this idea from Glory at Glorious Treats for my Mother’s Day cupcakes.  I saw these a while ago and she mentioned them again just recently on Facebook and it sparked inspiration.

These are Glory’s beautiful hydrangea cupcakes.  She has a fabulous tutorial on her blog as well.  Hence why I could make mine.

And here are mine:

Glory also takes a beautiful picture! I’m still learning :)

These cupcakes were easy to pipe.  I used what was left of the store bought icing I used from the cake pops and it doesn’t make as clean a flower as does my homemade, but it’s what I had on hand.

As for the cupcakes themselves; these are what happens when you have left over strawberry and kiwi puree in the fridge.  So Kiwi-Strawberry Cupcakes are born.  I loved the kiwi more than the strawberry, but the combination is also very good!  Recipe can be found here.

Anyway, Happy Mother’s Day to mothers and especially to my mother (Lee) and mother-in-law(Nancy).  The best mom’s I know!
