If you’ve been around the cookie blog/block you’ve probably seen or heard about Bo. Bo was, in my opinion is, one of the most courageous kids I’ve ever read about. I never met him, but I feel like I have through all I’ve learned from my friend Jill of Jill’s Funky Cookie Studio.
I missed last year’s bake sale due to injury and general lack of being able to do anything :) This year would be different. I started with a fun and cute set of Halloween cookies. I had fun with them, but kept them simple.
But I had some cookie dough leftover and wanted to make some funky ones, so I made these:
Then I shipped them off to Jill. My job here was done. I felt good. Then I saw some Halloween cards at Target and new I hade to turn them into cookies. Before I could forget them I went home and made them. I changed them a tiny bit but mostly stayed true to the original pictures. I pulled out the airbrush and went to town. They turned out better than expected. So what to do with them. I know. Off they went! I then posted them and I guess I wasn’t the only one who like them because they were my most successful cookies to date. Having over 5000 hits and shared over 50 times. That’s huge for me, I was on cloud nine!
I’m so proud of these cookies and I’m so proud to be apart of this amazing event.
All 50 states are represented plus 8 countries. Way to go Bo!!! You’ve inspired the world :)
